Ben and his family live at Tallarook in the electorate of Seymour. Ben has lived and worked in the area since 1992. Ben and Gail came to the Seymour District as teachers with Ben serving as Principal at Flowerdale Primary School before being elected to Parliament.
The Hardmans' have two children, Lachlan and James, and take an active interest in their local community.
Ben is keen to continue as the Member for Seymour because he wants his children and their friends to have the opportunity for a good education. Ben does not want a return to a Liberal Government who, when last in power, demoralised country communities through neglecting their needs and arrogantly closing schools and hospitals and sacking teachers and nurses.
Ben works hard to ensure that all communities in his electorate feel safe and like the boost of new teachers to lower class sizes and more nurses to ensure safe and comfortable hospital experiences he sees the new police stations and extra police in this area as providing a safer community.
Ben is proud of his record in delivering new infrastructure and improved services to towns and communities across the Seymour electorate.
He knows there is still a lot more to be done because he is in touch with his electorate through regular constituent visits to all towns and small communities, surveys to constituents and making himself accessible and approachable to all.
